Drawing a Landscape Painting

Something you need to do when drawing a landscape painting, is get into the landscape itself. Feel yourself being taken by the landscape and just let the
pencil flow across your page.

See what you come up with, it could be highly abstract or completely realistic.

When eventually attempting to paint the sketch make sure you decide on three things:

The kind of paper you use
What type of paints you are going to use Oil, acrylic or watercolors
The three colors you want to use

Once you understand your drawing and the landscape, practice a few times on the mood you want to achieve.
Painting is something of an excitement!
I have spent a great deal of time sketching and it should be interesting what happens...

These old trees are on our lot and have been around for about 70 years...For some reason they are slowly dying... I love the look of the decay and the design on the tree...so I feel the tree is not truly dead, but starting a new life.

He became a Canadian fixture in Canadian Football, playing first Calgary Stampeders and then eventually moving to the Edmonton Eskimos team. He is one of the best players in the history of Canadian football. He was inducted into the CFL Hall of Fame in 1970, and into the College Football Hall of Fame in 1984. He holds CFL records for most career playoff touchdowns, most yards gained in a Grey Cup game, and most consecutive games played.

Feeling the arts is a wonder...

When you stop and have to think or wonder about the art, you know it has peaked an interest into your very sole. The lines, or light touch of the brush, the direction and lighting are all what brings us to this creation and captures us. The creation is within us dying to express itself. If you look closely, you will find that each bit of art is telling us something important. It could be a sign to calm ourselves in these hectic times and find peace within.

Most of all I think art is an expression of love.

Pictures can speak to you in ways that comfort your soul. I am in the process of drawing this one. I will show you the end result. I love to sketch, so this one should be fun. The wonderful thing about sketching is even though there is no colour, the colours get invented in the sketch itself--- just by the expressions I us with my pencil.
